# Zine vs Metion

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Zine at 240 against Metion's 46. Zine also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zine sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.29 per month and Metion sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Zine against 4.3 for Metion. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zine has 240 ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Zine's written reviews are positive against 60% of Metion's.

Zine ships an update monthly, Metion fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
