# Witchy Coven vs Witchly

The clearest difference is ads: Witchly at none against Witchy Coven's shown. Witchly also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (170 vs 10). Witchy Coven's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Witchy Coven sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Witchly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Witchy Coven against 4.6 for Witchly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Witchly has 170 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Witchy Coven's written reviews are positive against 60% of Witchly's.

Witchy Coven ships an update every 3 months, Witchly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
