# XEAL vs split

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: XEAL at none against split's 2. split's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. split sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. XEAL asks for nothing beyond the download.

XEAL ships an update fortnightly, split every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
