# Phorus vs KONTROL APP

The clearest difference is rating: Phorus at 4.5 against KONTROL APP's 2.7. Phorus also leads on ratings volume (203 vs 46) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). KONTROL APP's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Phorus holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 203 and 46 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Phorus's written reviews are positive against 45% of KONTROL APP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Phorus ships an update every 2 months, KONTROL APP monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
