# Timero vs Focus Timer & Friend

The clearest difference is rating: Timero at 4.7 against Focus Timer & Friend's 3.7. Timero also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (530 vs 3). Focus Timer & Friend's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timero sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Focus Timer & Friend sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timero has 530 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Timero's written reviews are positive against 100% of Focus Timer & Friend's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timero ships an update every 2 weeks, Focus Timer & Friend fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
