# Timero vs GradeGrind

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timero at free with in-app purchases against GradeGrind's subscription. Timero also leads on ratings volume (527 vs 26). GradeGrind's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timero sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and GradeGrind sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Timero against 4.8 for GradeGrind. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timero has 527 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Timero ships an update every 2 weeks, GradeGrind every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
