# Dual Camera vs Double Camera Recorder

Dual Camera and Double Camera Recorder both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Dual Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of Double Camera Recorder's. Double Camera Recorder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dual Camera sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Double Camera Recorder sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Double Camera Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 79 and 201 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dual Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of Double Camera Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dual Camera ships an update every 3 months, Double Camera Recorder weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
