# Dual Camera vs SplitRig

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SplitRig at none against Dual Camera's 14. SplitRig also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Dual Camera's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dual Camera sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. SplitRig asks for nothing beyond the download.

SplitRig holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 78 and 37 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dual Camera's written reviews are positive against 93% of SplitRig's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dual Camera ships an update every 3 months, SplitRig weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
