# aegis+ vs NexViewer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NexViewer at none against aegis+'s 2. aegis+'s advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. aegis+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. NexViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for aegis+ against 5.0 for NexViewer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: aegis+ has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

aegis+ ships an update weekly, NexViewer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
