# Wallbyte vs Skycast

The clearest difference is rating: Skycast at 5.0 against Wallbyte's 4.5. Skycast also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). Wallbyte's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallbyte sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Skycast sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skycast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wallbyte has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Wallbyte's written reviews are positive against 100% of Skycast's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
