# Herodot AI vs Instant Guide

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Guide at 5.0 against Herodot AI's 4.7. Instant Guide also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). Herodot AI's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Herodot AI sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Instant Guide sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Guide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Herodot AI has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Herodot AI ships an update weekly, Instant Guide every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
