# SimCode vs SMS Verification

The clearest difference is ads: SimCode at none against SMS Verification's shown. SimCode also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (208 vs 39). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimCode sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and SMS Verification sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimCode holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimCode has 208 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of SimCode's written reviews are positive against 79% of SMS Verification's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
