# SimCode vs HidSim

The clearest difference is monetization model: HidSim at free against SimCode's free with in-app purchases. HidSim also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). SimCode's advantage is ratings volume (208 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimCode sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and HidSim sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HidSim holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimCode has 208 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of SimCode's written reviews are positive against 100% of HidSim's.

SimCode ships an update every 2 weeks, HidSim monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
