# SimCode vs Verify SMS

The clearest difference is rating: Verify SMS at 5.0 against SimCode's 4.7. Verify SMS also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 87%). SimCode's advantage is ratings volume (230 vs 7) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimCode sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Verify SMS sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Verify SMS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimCode has 230 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of SimCode's written reviews are positive against 100% of Verify SMS's.

SimCode ships an update every 2 weeks, Verify SMS weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
