# AKIRA vs Mod Style

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mod Style at 100% against AKIRA's 47%. Mod Style also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). AKIRA's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mod Style holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AKIRA has 2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of AKIRA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mod Style's.

AKIRA ships an update fortnightly, Mod Style every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
