# Weigel's vs Belk

The clearest difference is update cadence: Belk at every 2 weeks against Weigel's's every 3 months. Belk also leads on ratings volume (187K vs 3K) and review sentiment (55% vs 38%). Weigel's's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Weigel's against 4.8 for Belk. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Belk has 187K ratings behind it against 3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 38% of Weigel's's written reviews are positive against 55% of Belk's.

Weigel's ships an update every 3 months, Belk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
