# Weigel's vs TJC TV

The clearest difference is ads: TJC TV at none against Weigel's's shown. TJC TV also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Weigel's's advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TJC TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weigel's has 5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Weigel's ships an update every 3 months, TJC TV every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
