# Spinx Xtras vs Your Barber

Spinx Xtras and Your Barber both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Your Barber's written reviews are positive against 51% of Spinx Xtras's. Your Barber also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Spinx Xtras's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 22) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Spinx Xtras against 5.0 for Your Barber. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spinx Xtras has 7.2K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of Spinx Xtras's written reviews are positive against 100% of Your Barber's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
