# Spinx Xtras vs LightWrite

Spinx Xtras and LightWrite both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of LightWrite's written reviews are positive against 51% of Spinx Xtras's. LightWrite also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Spinx Xtras's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Spinx Xtras against 5.0 for LightWrite. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spinx Xtras has 7.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of Spinx Xtras's written reviews are positive against 100% of LightWrite's.
