# Ampère Mobile vs iHP48

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iHP48 at 88% against Ampère Mobile's 25%. iHP48 also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (302 vs 1). Ampère Mobile's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ampère Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iHP48 has 302 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Ampère Mobile's written reviews are positive against 88% of iHP48's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ampère Mobile ships an update every 11 months, iHP48 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
