# JustVPN vs Apex VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Apex VPN at 4.5 against JustVPN's 4.2. Apex VPN also leads on ratings volume (698 vs 11) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). JustVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JustVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Apex VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Apex VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apex VPN has 698 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 67% and 67% positive.

JustVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, Apex VPN every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
