# JustVPN vs VPN

The clearest difference is ads: JustVPN at none against VPN's shown. JustVPN also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). VPN's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JustVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for JustVPN against 4.3 for VPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 8 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of JustVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of VPN's.

JustVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
