# Strides vs Mode

The clearest difference is device support: Strides at 4 against Mode's 2. Mode's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strides sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Mode sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strides ships an update fortnightly, Mode every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
