# Strides vs Rool

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Strides at 19K against Rool's 3. Rool's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strides sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Rool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strides has 19K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
