# SplashLearn vs Flash Cards

SplashLearn and Flash Cards both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of SplashLearn's written reviews are positive against 57% of Flash Cards's. SplashLearn also leads on ratings volume (32K vs 1.7K) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SplashLearn sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Flash Cards sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for SplashLearn against 4.6 for Flash Cards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SplashLearn has 32K ratings behind it against 1.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of SplashLearn's written reviews are positive against 57% of Flash Cards's.

SplashLearn ships an update every 2 weeks, Flash Cards monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
