# SplashLearn vs WordHaven

The clearest difference is rating: WordHaven at 5.0 against SplashLearn's 4.5. SplashLearn's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (32K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SplashLearn sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and WordHaven sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WordHaven holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SplashLearn has 32K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SplashLearn ships an update every 9 days, WordHaven every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
