# SplashLearn vs Pre

The clearest difference is rating: Pre at 5.0 against SplashLearn's 4.5. Pre also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%). SplashLearn's advantage is ratings volume (32K vs 7) and chart position (#63 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SplashLearn sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Pre sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pre holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SplashLearn has 32K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of SplashLearn's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pre's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
