# Belk vs Ingles Markets

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ingles Markets at free against Belk's free with in-app purchases. Belk's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 38%) and ratings volume (187K vs 12K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Belk against 4.7 for Ingles Markets. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Belk has 187K ratings behind it against 12K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Belk's written reviews are positive against 38% of Ingles Markets's.

Belk ships an update every 2 weeks, Ingles Markets every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
