# Hodgdon Reloading Manual vs Flite Test

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flite Test at none against Hodgdon Reloading Manual's 13. Flite Test also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months) and review sentiment (40% vs 10%). Hodgdon Reloading Manual's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hodgdon Reloading Manual sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Flite Test asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hodgdon Reloading Manual holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hodgdon Reloading Manual has 833 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Hodgdon Reloading Manual's written reviews are positive against 40% of Flite Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
