# YapThread vs Jotley

The clearest difference is rating: Jotley at 5.0 against YapThread's 4.5. Jotley also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). YapThread's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YapThread sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Jotley sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jotley holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YapThread has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

YapThread ships an update every 2 days, Jotley every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
