# Flix vs Sumad

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sumad at every 10 days against Flix's every 3 weeks. Sumad also leads on ratings volume (49 vs 5) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flix sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Sumad sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for Flix against 3.7 for Sumad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sumad has 49 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

Flix ships an update every 3 weeks, Sumad every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
