# Saint Steps vs Saint Lock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Saint Steps at free with in-app purchases against Saint Lock's subscription. Saint Steps also leads on ratings volume (359 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Saint Steps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Saint Lock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Saint Steps against 5.0 for Saint Lock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saint Steps has 359 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
