# WeatherWise.app vs TickZone

The clearest difference is ratings volume: WeatherWise.app at 801 against TickZone's 18. WeatherWise.app also leads on chart position (#9 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). TickZone's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeatherWise.app sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and TickZone sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TickZone holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeatherWise.app has 801 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of WeatherWise.app's written reviews are positive against 86% of TickZone's.

WeatherWise.app ships an update fortnightly, TickZone every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
