# Anki Pro vs CapNote

The clearest difference is ads: CapNote at none against Anki Pro's shown. CapNote also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and device support (3 vs 1). Anki Pro's advantage is ratings volume (162 vs 10). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anki Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and CapNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CapNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anki Pro has 162 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Anki Pro ships an update weekly, CapNote every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
