# Anki Pro vs AI Note Taker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AI Note Taker at 100% against Anki Pro's 27%. AI Note Taker also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Anki Pro's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (162 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anki Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AI Note Taker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anki Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anki Pro has 162 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Anki Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Note Taker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
