# TalkHere vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is rating: TalkHere at 4.9 against ScriptPad's 3.0. TalkHere also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (170 vs 1). ScriptPad's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TalkHere sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ScriptPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalkHere holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TalkHere has 170 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TalkHere ships an update every 3 days, ScriptPad monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
