# Night Vision vs Black Screen Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Black Screen Camera at 100% against Night Vision's 33%. Black Screen Camera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Night Vision's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (129 vs 4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Night Vision sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Black Screen Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Night Vision holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Night Vision has 129 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Night Vision's written reviews are positive against 100% of Black Screen Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Night Vision ships an update every 3 weeks, Black Screen Camera every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
