# HabitStar vs Apper

The clearest difference is update cadence: Apper at every 2 days against HabitStar's every 8 days. HabitStar's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HabitStar sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Apper sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HabitStar ships an update every 8 days, Apper every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
