# Kimura vs TrainVault

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TrainVault at 100% against Kimura's 62%. TrainVault also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Kimura's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kimura sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and TrainVault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrainVault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kimura has 26 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Kimura's written reviews are positive against 100% of TrainVault's.

Kimura ships an update fortnightly, TrainVault monthly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
