# Tastemade Cooking vs Simmmer

The clearest difference is ads: Simmmer at none against Tastemade Cooking's shown. Simmmer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Tastemade Cooking's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tastemade Cooking sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Simmmer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simmmer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tastemade Cooking has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tastemade Cooking ships an update fortnightly, Simmmer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
