# Goalyo vs RFRL

The clearest difference is update cadence: RFRL at every 3 weeks against Goalyo's every 5 months. RFRL also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 2). Goalyo's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Goalyo against 5.0 for RFRL. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RFRL has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Goalyo ships an update every 5 months, RFRL every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
