# 语鲸 vs Timingo

The clearest difference is rating: 语鲸 at 4.8 against Timingo's 2.0. 语鲸 also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (50 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 语鲸 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Timingo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

语鲸 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 语鲸 has 50 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of 语鲸's written reviews are positive against 88% of Timingo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

语鲸 ships an update every 6 days, Timingo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
