# MindMap vs useFocusLab

The clearest difference is ads: useFocusLab at none against MindMap's shown. useFocusLab also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). MindMap's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindMap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and useFocusLab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindMap ships an update every 5 months, useFocusLab every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
