# PuttPro vs Opengolf

The clearest difference is rating: Opengolf at 4.3 against PuttPro's 3.6. PuttPro's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 22%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PuttPro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Opengolf sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Opengolf holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of PuttPro's written reviews are positive against 22% of Opengolf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
