# IRONDOTS CHAT vs Visclar

The clearest difference is monetization model: IRONDOTS CHAT at free against Visclar's subscription. IRONDOTS CHAT also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.2). Visclar's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IRONDOTS CHAT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visclar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IRONDOTS CHAT ships an update every 6 months, Visclar every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
