# MySTB vs CAST4K

The clearest difference is rating: MySTB at 4.7 against CAST4K's 3.5. MySTB also leads on ratings volume (108 vs 17). CAST4K's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MySTB sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. CAST4K asks for nothing beyond the download.

MySTB holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySTB has 108 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of MySTB's written reviews are positive against 100% of CAST4K's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MySTB ships an update every 10 days, CAST4K every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
