# AI Note Taker vs FoxNote

The clearest difference is rating: AI Note Taker at 4.9 against FoxNote's 4.5. FoxNote's advantage is ratings volume (344 vs 61) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Taker holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxNote has 344 ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AI Note Taker ships an update every 2 weeks, FoxNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
