# Matching Diary vs Hexa Rush

The clearest difference is rating: Matching Diary at 4.7 against Hexa Rush's 1.8. Matching Diary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (170 vs 11). Hexa Rush's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 17%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matching Diary sells 18 one-off in-app purchases and Hexa Rush sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Matching Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matching Diary has 170 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Matching Diary's written reviews are positive against 25% of Hexa Rush's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
