# Hypermonkey vs PlanPat

The clearest difference is rating: PlanPat at 5.0 against Hypermonkey's 4.5. PlanPat also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%). Hypermonkey's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hypermonkey sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PlanPat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlanPat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hypermonkey has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Hypermonkey's written reviews are positive against 100% of PlanPat's.

Hypermonkey ships an update every 2 weeks, PlanPat every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
