# Hypermonkey vs FYA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FYA at none against Hypermonkey's 5. FYA also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). Hypermonkey's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hypermonkey sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. FYA asks for nothing beyond the download.

FYA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hypermonkey has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Hypermonkey's written reviews are positive against 100% of FYA's.

Hypermonkey ships an update every 2 weeks, FYA every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
